OUR MISSION

To contribute to the production of knowledge and innovation, and to the promotion of improved quality of life for human beings across different age groups and social contexts.

Marisa Correia
CIEQV COORDINATOR

CIEQV’s mission is to promote quality improvements across human beings by creating and transferring knowledge and innovative programs from applied and multidisciplinary research to society with a technological and sustainable focus, and innovative purpose. Given the Centre’s multidisciplinary nature, it comprises five scientific areas of activity corresponding to five research thematic lines, namely: (i) Quality Education; (ii) Social Sustainability and Entrepreneurship; (iii) Sustainable agri-food systems; (iv) Physical Activity and Sports; and (v) Social Determinants and Health Indicators for Quality of Life. CIEQV conducts multi- and interdisciplinary research to address critical issues affecting human well-being, such as quality lifelong education, healthcare, and environmental and social sustainability. To this end, the centre promotes collaboration between researchers, supports early-career researchers, and establishes partnerships with various sectors to facilitate the practical application of research results.
